LaGuardia Car Service from Long Island & NYC

There is no train to LaGuardia — from anywhere. Whether you start on Long Island or in Manhattan, getting there on time means a car and a driver who knows the approach roads, with live flight tracking and a fare quoted before you ride.

LaGuardia has quietly become a genuinely pleasant airport. An $8 billion rebuild replaced the terminals travellers used to complain about, and Delta's new Terminal C — 37 gates, consolidated from the old C and D — was finished at the end of 2024, two years ahead of schedule.

The building is fixed. Getting to the building is still the hard part. That is where a scheduled car matters, and where we spend our attention.

LaGuardia has no rail link — and isn't getting one

The proposed AirTrain LaGuardia, planned to connect the airport to the subway and LIRR at Mets–Willets Point, was cancelled in 2021. An expert panel recommended improved bus service instead, at a fraction of the multi-billion-dollar rail cost. Unlike JFK, which has the AirTrain, and Newark, which sits on the NEC line, LGA cannot be reached by train at all. Every trip is a road trip.

What's included on every LGA transfer

  • Real-time flight tracking. We watch your flight and shift the pickup automatically for delays or early arrivals — no extra charge.
  • Traffic-aware pickup times. LaGuardia's approaches are the variable, not the airport. We time your pickup around the Grand Central Parkway, not around a generic average.
  • Curbside or meet-and-greet. Your choice, and we'll text you exactly where to meet your chauffeur.
  • Quoted, all-inclusive fares. No surge pricing at 5 a.m. or on a holiday weekend.
  • Late-model black fleet. Escalade, Suburban, Aviator and Mercedes S-Class.
  • Child seats on request. Note it when you book.

LaGuardia terminals

LGA is compact compared with JFK, but dropping at the wrong terminal still costs you a shuttle ride you didn't budget for.

TerminalWhat it is
Terminal CDelta's terminal — 37 gates, consolidated from the former Terminals C and D, completed end of 2024
Terminal BThe rebuilt shared terminal used by several other major carriers
Terminal AThe smaller Marine Air Terminal, used by a limited number of operators

Airline-to-terminal assignments do change. Confirm yours with your airline close to the travel date — we re-confirm before every pickup.

Approximate travel time to LaGuardia

Typical door-to-terminal driving times in normal conditions. For much of western Long Island, LGA is the closest of the three major airports — but the last few miles are the least predictable part of the trip.

Departing fromTypical drive to LGA
Western Nassau (Great Neck, Manhasset)20 – 40 min
Central Nassau (Garden City, Hicksville)30 – 55 min
Huntington & Melville40 – 70 min
Central Suffolk (Hauppauge, Smithtown)50 – 85 min
Eastern Suffolk / North Fork80 – 115 min
The Hamptons2 – 3 hrs
Manhattan30 – 60 min
Brooklyn30 – 60 min
Queens15 – 40 min

Grand Central Parkway congestion, weekday rush hour and event traffic around Flushing can push these well past the upper end. We build that into your quoted pickup time.

How your LGA pickup works

Departing from Long Island or New York City

Your chauffeur arrives ahead of the scheduled time, loads your luggage and drops you at your departure terminal door. As a rule of thumb, be at LGA two hours before a domestic flight and three before an international one — then add the drive, and a little more if you're travelling at rush hour.

Arriving at LaGuardia

We track your inbound flight from takeoff. Curbside means meeting your chauffeur at the arrivals-level pickup area once you have your bags — we'll text you the exact spot, since LGA actively manages these zones. Meet-and-greet means your chauffeur is waiting inside with a name sign, which is the easier option with family or multiple bags.

Questions

LaGuardia Car Service FAQs

No. LaGuardia is the only major New York airport with no direct rail connection. The proposed AirTrain LaGuardia was cancelled in 2021 and the Port Authority moved toward improved bus service instead. Getting to LGA means a car, taxi, rideshare or bus — which is why a scheduled car service matters more here than at JFK or Newark.

Plan to be at LGA two hours before a domestic departure and three before an international one, then add travel time from your town. LaGuardia's approach roads are its weak point, so we build extra margin into morning and late-afternoon pickups.

Delta operates from Terminal C, which consolidated the old Terminals C and D into a single 37-gate building completed at the end of 2024. Terminal B is the rebuilt shared terminal used by several other major carriers, and Terminal A is the smaller Marine Air Terminal. Confirm your terminal with your airline before you travel — we'll confirm it again before pickup.

We monitor every arriving flight in real time and adjust your pickup automatically for delays or early arrivals, at no extra charge. You don't need to call us to reschedule.

Your choice of curbside pickup at your terminal's arrivals level, or inside meet-and-greet with a name sign and help with luggage. LGA's pickup areas are compact and actively managed, so we'll text you exactly where to go.

Yes. We cover every town in Nassau and Suffolk County, plus Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island — and the Hamptons, Connecticut and New Jersey.
